Sorry I missed yesterday's segment, but sometimes traffic doesn't flow as quickly as you'd hoped for. But enough about early morning traffic dramas I want to talk about what's on TV or rather, as is the case what isn't on, on TV.
Over the weekend I noticed that the family quiz show Talking About Your Generation on Network Ten was advertising that on its show tonight they'll be a doing body painting challenge.
For those who don't know the show its on at 7.30pm and as a parent I expect that TV stations will show some discretion and restraint and programs on around that time will be safe family viewing, but of course I'd be wrong.
Over the past few years as parents say they want to let their children watch safe family and children's viewing on TV, television program has taken a decidedly downwards dive. During the week we see all sorts of sexual liaisons from two school girls making out on Glee and of course there is the not so hidden sexual liaisons in any number of shows.
Then of course there isn't just the bad language but the foul attitudes that children pick up on and start trying to imitate. If this is what TV programmers call children's and family entertainment you know what we do we don't turn it up we turn it off.
