Over the weekend we did some shopping at Burwood shopping centre.

For those who don’t know the place it is one of those big boxes of a shopping centre where you go in through multiple levels of car parking entrances and if you are lucky and it isn’t too busy you find a car parking space within a day’s walk of the lifts.

Once you’ve all done the shopping, or spent all your money, whichever comes first, then you head for the exits and back to the car.

I’m not a big fan of shopping centres that issue car parking tickets to charge you for parking while you spend your money in their business.

But what really seems to get up a lot of people’s noses is what happened on the weekend when the guy a few cars in front of us,
... who hadn’t paid his parking ticket,
..........only realises this when he is blocking the exit.

Casually he put the handbrake on and calmly walked across to the ticket machine to purchase an exit ticket.

Of course the dozen or so people waiting behind us all were very understanding - weren’t they?
