Christmas time is fundamentally a Christan celebration of the birth of Christ but from time to time the politically correct brigade encroach on the celebrations such as trying to ban candles and replace them with torches.  

Even worse some work quietly like little white ants trying to eat away all references to Christ  to promote the  Happy Holidays and Seasons presents philosophy.

My view is that if people want to put up tinsel without acknowleging that Jesus is the reason for the season that is their choice

I’m not saying that we should force people like Senator Bob Brown to stop wishing everyone a Happy Seasons Greetings and make them say Merry Christmas instead.
That would be to ignore the fundamental aspect of Christian teaching that that reminds us that God gave us our freedom of choice.

But to this day Christians around the world are still being persecuted and killed in some countries just because of their beliefs and the choice they make.  

Many people who call themselves humanitarians will do more trying to remove of the word Christmas from public places  than they will do to stop the atrocities and murders of innocent people a who are being targeted in some countries just because of their choice to be a Christian

So this year wish your friends a Merry Christmas and when the Christian carols come on the radio …
