One of the things I’ve taken quite a strong personal interest in over many years are the ongoing developments in the areas of personal health and well being.
There can be quite a vast difference between what government departments recommend - and what is actually good for us.
The diets that most western governments recommend, including our own government, are more about balancing the interests of the various lobby groups than about promoting the optimal food choices for health and well being.
But even worse than that some of the decisions taken by governments and their government department recommendations, are well, cane toads.

Take the issue of putting Fluoride in the public water supply.
I have grown up with governments defending the decision;
Saying that it was in the public health to be mass medicated;
But we are not talking about a safe natural form of Fluoride here.
In fact you could think of the decision to put Fluoride in the water supply as the Cane Toad of public health policy decisions.
There is a lot of talk about saving the environment, but will they consider taking this poison out of the water supply?
Turn It Up
