It is no surprise to anyone to hear that there is a problem with the housing policy in Sydney.

It is not new issue but successive governments have tip toed around it and the longer they put of the inevitable the greater the problem becomes.

With more people than ever looking for homes here, the problem is highly concentrated in Sydney,

-  the flow on effect impacts on the rest of Australia.

Whether you are looking for somewhere to move to, like we are right now,  or you are an investor or a business owner.
- what you need is some long term certainty.

There is a reluctance to build super rise buildings, but we have to face the fact that if we are to retain our green areas around Sydney then housing must go up and not out.

It isn’t the only solution, but it is the most likely and sooner or later super high rise housing constructions must go up to bring the cost of housing down...

Does anyone think it might be sooner rather than later?

One of the big topics of this week has been our Queen’s arrival.

I’m a Monarchist and think the system of government we have with all it’s safeguards and protocols is a pretty good one.

This week we’ve seen the arrival of the Queen of Australia as she was greeted by our Governor General and female Prime Minister.

Julia Gillard showed that she was just as capable of stirring up Royal Controversy as former Prime Minister Paul Keating was when he met the Queen.

A number of the states also have had female Governor Generals, and either currently or in the past have had females in positions of the Premiers and senior Ministers.

Surely this week’s images of the 3 most powerful women in Australian government systems must finally end talk of those feminists who suggest that women struggle to achieve equality with men.

Whether you look to federal government or Queensland at the moment the question hasclearly been answered.

Are women any different to men in politics?
