Yesterday just after 6am you mentioned an issue of items going missing from the Australia Post delivery system.

I’m still trying to get answers out of Australia Post regarding who actually signed for a parcel that I paid hundreds of dollars for
Australia Post claims they delivered it but I don’t have the parcel.

The e-Parcel system allows me as the customer to track the parcel through each stage of the Australia Post delivery stages and requires a signature on delivery.

The problem comes about when anyone can sign or even anything can count as a signature.

Initially they wouldn’t talk to me and officially they won’t  because their delivery contract is with the supplier because they sent the parcel.

My supplier says they have done their bit and rely on the signature as proof that the parcel has been delivered but recently have started to include insurance on packages sent because customers are not getting their package they paid for.

On delivery Australia post require no ID and I’ve heard many stories of parcels just being left at the wrong address where an honest person finds them on their doorstep and takes them to the correct address

Suppliers rely on a signature obtained by Australia post to Prove the package was delivered, but if that so called signature is just a squiggly line does that prove Australia Post delivers anything except disappointment?

Food for thought about where the food future will be

The World Trade Organisation is getting sovereign governments around the world to hand over regulation of their food security issues by implementing a global food program called The Codex Ailimentarius.

Now they will tell us that this document is all about food safety and food security.  But as I mentioned yesterday if our authorities can’t protect us from poisoned food being imported why should we trust an organisation who isn’t accountable to us with the task of all food security?

There are many other issues of course including why should we put Australian farmers out of business just to import the same foods from overseas?

But the biggest problem with Codex Ailimentarius international agreement means you and I through our sovereign Australian government don’t get to make decisions about what we do or don’t allow into Australia.

It means if sovereign nations like Australia and America sign away their sovereignty over border security and we loose our ability to make decisions about our food imports but it goes even further than that.

Some organisations are warning Codex Alimentarius could even mean backyard gardens become illegal....and yet governments tell us that is just a normal part of global trade agreements.
