This week we’ve heard Julia Gillard  stumble around the answer whether she directed her staff to start writing her victory speech 2 weeks before becoming Prime Minister, and when did she decide to challenge Kevin Rudd.

Although her answer to the second question probably was as truthful as we’ll ever get it isn’t good enough to give the Australian public detailed answers about the bits of history Julia Gillard likes

but on the other bits of history she wants to forget about give answers like; “I don’t recall the details of that.”

These constant issues are all ticks on the ticking time bomb that is Julia Gillard’s Prime Minister-ship. From the day she took office as Prime Minister her entire government has been ready to do the proverbial blow up in all our faces.

With the broken promises, questions about honesty and ethics
- and behind the scenes deals for power how can any of us  possibly have any confidence left in this government at all?

Sure they’ve done some things while they are in office that they’d rather we all focus on.

So lets do that.  Take the Set-top boxes for low income earners example.

You can go down to any retail store and buy a premium high definition set top box for under $80, a cheaper one for under $30, and for around a hundred dollars almost any electronics company will install it for you.

But under this government Australian taxpayers have spent almost $70 million dollars at around $700 each set top box subsidised and the scheme hasn’t fully rolled out yet.

That means out of $700 for the government subsidised set top box taxpayers would  get enough change to buy a lemon....... they tell us that is one of their successes they want us to focus on.
