Today - Teacher’s Strikes return to NSW
They strike against the injustices of the world, to right wrongs, to fight for freedom.......
....No they don’t.
They are in fact taking away the freedom of parents and of businesses and employers, as well as the self employed because they are dictating to parents that it’s a teachers strike day you must do today what we tell you to do.
Let’s be clear the NSW Teachers are striking for more money, it is that plain and simple.
Challenge them and they’ll go off on some self righteous rhetoric about how great they are and how the world doesn’t turn without teachers.
Don’t get me wrong here, I’m supportive and proud of many teachers, but the education system does need significant improvement and all this hoorah about how great teachers are ignores the realities of this strike
...and of the NSW budget.
... and It unfairly impacts everyone - including students.

When the strike is over will it have helped this state to make more money to allow The Government to pay teachers one cent more?
