Tired Politicians Serve No One

It is easy for many of us to get into a pollie bashing conversation, pretty much on any topic at any time, after all who doesn’t want more from them?

But yesterday a few of our federal politicians put their side of things into the public discussion.

It isn’t too difficult to see that they do have a point to raise and that point isn’t , and should just be, the starting time of parliament or whether they and their staffers should be able to arrive in Canberra the morning parliament sits and rush into parliament right away.

Does anyone seriously think there aren’t meetings to be held and important talks and discussions that go on around the parliament’s sitting times?

The most important issue that should be addressed, in all of this, is do we really want Members of Parliament, and their staff, that is the people representing us and our concerns, to be tired and exhausted when they are in parliament, examining critical details of leglislation that affects us all?
