No Way To Bullying

After all the talk last week about Saying No Way to Bullying I'm less impressed than ever with the Federal Government on this issue.

Last week when Julia Gillard and Peter Garrett spoke up on the issues of bullying yet again we heard hollow rhetoric and meaningless political chatter and Australian families deserve better.

Peter Garrett's message to Australia was that the government had things well in hand and students just needed to talk to teachers more and teachers needed to get more information about the current policy and practices.

What the government, including Minister Garrett have missed in all of this is that their current policy just isn't working, and in many cases the current policy makes things worse.

We have a Prime Minister who botched up BER, a Minister who presided over the Housing Insulation scheme mess, and now both of them are asking us to trust them with the safety, health and well-being of our most vulnerable children in our schools ….

....Turn It Up.
